Running the Gauntlet – A Dramatic History of a Victorian Country House

Born out of the wealth of the industrial revolution and solidly built to stand the test of time the Victorian mansion has long been a showcase of the rise and fall of the English country house. Stokesay Court is no exception and to mark 125 years since its completion the Time Flies Theatre Company has written a special performance, to be shown on the 6th and 7th of October, documenting some of the highs and lows faced by such houses and families throughout the country in the intervening years.From their heyday as family homes and places to entertain, through their various uses in two world wars, many houses struggled and fell into disrepair as fortunes and lifestyles changed. Then reinvention for the 21st century; take a look at how these places stand the test of time and continue to reveal their secrets.

Ellesmere Craft Market

A one day craft market showcasing the high quality product produced ny local crafters. Products range from cheese to knit wear, ceramics and jewellery. Bordeaux Masterclass with David Launay

A Bordeaux Masterclass with the Commercial Director of CA Grands Crus, David Launay. Guests will sample a selection from their properties of Château Grand-Puy-Ducasse in Pauillac, Château Meyney in Saint Estèphe and Château La Tour de Mons in Margaux.
